Trevor Fung began his DJing career at 18 and was quickly earning a reputation for his taste and knowledge of both UK and American Soul Funk and Jazz. In 1984 through his European tastes and connections Trevor was invited to play at Amnesia in Ibiza to spin his now mixed style of dance music, which complimented the much-respected resident Amnesia DJ ‘Alfredo. On Trevor’s return and throughout the mid eighties he teamed up with long time friend Paul Oakenfold to set up a club called The Funhouse’ playing similar sounds from his Ibiza experience alongside the popular Hip Hop and Go-Go sounds of that time. This was followed by the formation of his infamous ‘The Project’ club with another club resident DJ Carl Cox. The Project Club was strongly influenced at that time by the new sounds coming in from the Detroit and Chicago. HOUSE MUSIC!

In the summer of ‘87 Trevor took The Project Club’ concept to Ibiza where together with Ian St Paul he opened a bar in San Antonio, playing to a very mixed crowd that was attracted by the then unusual combination of Hip Hop, Indie, Acid and House music Trevor had incorporated into his unique style. This later became known within the music press as Balearic Beat. In 1988 Trevor’s influence over fellow friends and DJ’s ignited a chain reaction in London. Nicky Holloway, Paul Oakenfold, Johnny Walker and Danny Rampling were all early visitors to Trevor’s nights both at The Project Club and Amnesia and were inspired to change the face of the London Club Scene by launching seminal nights such as The Future’, ‘Spectrum’, ‘Shoom’,

The Land Of Oz’, ‘Rage and Trip’.

Following this period Trevor could be seen playing at all the spectacular one-off ‘M25 Orbital live events’ such as Sunrise’, ‘Energy’, ‘World Danceand Biology which in turn led to long-term residencies at Rage, ‘Enter the Dragon, Spectrum and Love @ the Wag.

Trevor has been working recently on his regular gigs and also as host to other major club nights like ‘Clockwork Orange’, ‘Shoom’ ‘Golden’, Dance88/89” and Ibiza’s ‘Pikes’ with some of the biggest DJ’s from the USA and UK, featuring some of clublands’ most respected promoters and DJ’s, legendary DJ’s Danny Krivit, Franck Roger, DJ Deep, Robert Owens, Danny Rampling, DJ Pierre and Terry Farley.

Trevor has been busy in the studio with mixes, touring with fellow old friend and now world renowned Producer/DJ Paul Oakenfold throughout the world. Look out for them playing in Ibiza this summer.

Owen Clarke Biography

What can I say “I love house music”. It’s been part of my life as long as I can remember. I was heavily into electro and the whole break dance scene when it suddenly morphed into the early chicago house sound that we all know and love today.

I first got hooked on the house scene way back in ’87 and, although I loved the harsh electronic sounds of Acid House, my real love was for deep house classics such as Joe Smooth’s “I Try”, Paris’s “Learn To Love” and Larry Heard’s “Mystery Of Love”. These tracks became the blueprint for the sounds I’ve been spinning over the last 20 years.

I started my Djing career in 1991 when persuaded by Centerforce’s Babyface (Terry White R.I.P.) to get on the decks and start spinning. Dates at underground clubs around East London quickly followed and I was up and running. My big break came in 1992, when I was spotted Djing at a party by the legendry Sunday Scene promoters “Happy Dayz” they offered me a spot at their gig at the Curtain Road Warehouse. This was promptly followed by residencies at the Gass Club and the Arches and eventually led to me being given spots at the London’s Ministry of Sound and Passion in Leicester to name but a few. In the summer of 1995, I was employed by Club UK for their tour of Ibiza and spent 5 months spinning the US House and Garage sound, securing residencies at the Kanya Bar, and super clubs Space and Amnesia as well as various guest spots on the Island. I’ve also produced tracks for well established labels including Azuli and Champion Records.

Currently I’m playing a lot for the Clockwork Orange Boys and also the likes of Culture Shock and soon Resonate London extremely busy and all is great look forward to seeing you on the dance floor soon.

Michael Fairman AKA Carter Biography

Since the age of 16 I was doing anything I could to get into raves. The squat scene was huge for my age at the time and was where I wanted to be on a Friday or Saturday night, no matter the location or how hard it was going to be to get there. However, the minute I turned 18 I was straight to Studio 338 to get a real taste of the big stuff! From that night forward I fell in love with house in a way I’d never experienced music before. However, it wasn’t until I was at university that I had my first chance to even try mixing any tracks. My friend Tom showed me the ropes teaching me how to throw drum and bass tracks together, but once I’d got the hang of things I had to put my tunes into practise. Every opportunity I had to be behind the decks I took it, mixing at every pres, party and afters I could. I started making mixes and putting them online, sending them to local promoters and event organisers until I eventually got noticed back in early March and made my debut at the Arch in Brighton. Since then I’ve supported several big names in the scene as well as making my festival debut at WeAre this summer. It’s been an absolute rollercoaster so far, honestly such a privilege to be behind the decks supplying grooves for a crowd, wouldn’t have it any other way!

This led to a solo signing for Rob as Shango with Jackpot Records which was created by 7pm – then manager of Sasha, John Digweed and Carl Cox. When Shango ‘Tunnelvision’ dropped in 1997, it was played at Tribal Gathering to an amazing crowd response and sold over 10,000 copies on vinyl. Rob has DJ’d with the likes of Danny Rampling at clubs such as The Hacienda, Screem and UK Midlands and his tracks and remixes have been played by DJs over the world such as John Digweed, Joe T Vanelli, Sasha, Paul Van Dyk and Carl Cox.

Alex Savvides Biography

Alex Savvides was 16 when he first got behind the turntables at the infamous south London acid house club ZIGI’S in south London-the very same club, where a young Paul Oakenfold and Trevor Fung ran a hip hop night called “funhouse”, soon to become “project”.
Alex started his own mid week Balearic night, “Casablanca”, after hearing and falling in love with the Balearic sounds played by Alfredo in Amnesia in 1988 and acid house . Over the next 2 years Alex became one of the main DJS at ZIGI’S and was not only promoting his own night but also guesting for other promoters and playing alongside Carl Cox every weekend.
More gigs followed through the 90s until Alex decided to hang up his headphones because he had become disillusioned by the scene by 1996, it had gone too commercial for his taste.
Fast forward 20 years and Alex is back promoting and DJ’ing, with a hugely successful Balearic club night “We are Balearic” with guest DJ’S that have included Marshall Jefferson, Justin Robertson, Alfredo, Farley Jackmaster Funk and Danny Rampling , to name just a few that have headlined at WAB parties so far!

As well as promoting his own nights, Alex has been very busy DJ’ing all over the UK as well as Ibiza, Croatia and Las Vegas. With bookings coming in already for Australia and Chicago, 2019 looks like a very good year for the man that has brought the Balearic Ibiza inspired sound right back again, not only for the original acid house generation, but a whole new young crowd that are enjoying hearing those original Balearic anthems, as well as the new music that Alex is so keen to play.
Alex is currently working on a remix of 80s band The Thompson twins hit single “in the name of love”
aswell as working on brand new material due for release late 2019

2011 and headed east from her
childhood home beside California’s
Pacific Ocean, this exceptionally
talented DJ/Producer has patiently
studied and perfected her chosen art
in the Big Apple and is now based in
her own studio in Philadelphia. Driven
by her innate ability to create and
play beautiful, soul rising music, she
has never looked back.
The soulful city’s chilled vibes and
down-to-earth attitude now form the
perfect backdrop for Jay Hill’s
creativity. 2017 saw her debut 12″
vinyl release, ‘Runaway Bob’, on
NYC’s Local Raider imprint. She
brilliantly combined Techno and Acid House on ‘Falls The Shadow’ (Static Music) and
explored more experimental dancefloor territory on ‘The King’ / ‘The Lion & The Lamb’ (FM
Elle). Meanwhile, her highly hypnotic ‘Beckoning E.P’ (Induction Muzic) soared up to the top
of Beatport’s Deep House Chart.
For people with open minds and open ears, electronic music doesn’t really have borders –
blurring any perceived boundaries between House and Techno is a given – and Jay Hill is one
of the new breed of cutting-edge artists who breathe life into their productions with true
emotion. Juxtapose her recent deep and acidy Techno release ‘Lil Dirty Girl’ with vocalist
Harry Collier (Faithless) saw her debut release on the infamous, Mr. C’s Superfreq Records.
2019 is already looking to be a massive year for Jay with her second release on Superfreq
called ’ Mercurial’ with Glasgow’s Arctor. Not to mention her collaboration with South African
slam poet. The Lazarusman called ‘I Am Here’ will be coming out on Lee Foss and Jamie
Jones’, Emerald City imprint.
Creatively adept at utilising both vinyl and digital formats, Jay Hill’s DJ sets see her
captivating audiences with a fusion of soulful emotion and hypnotic grooves as she
masterfully moves between genres and styles. She is equally at home driving dancers to
frenzy under the giant mirror ball at Cielo (NYC), or uplifting a sun-drenched crowd on the
Balearic Islands. Walk into a warehouse in Berlin and you could find Jay spinning the finest
darkroom Techno. Jay Hill will always showcase music that stands for pure quality and
originality. – H. Bryder,
